updates!

Well hello on this rainy day...a few updates since I've posted last!

First, the HUGS (formerly known as cozies) are doing wonderful! I can't thank everyone enough who is interested in them! I really love making each one!

Also, my wonderful sister has finished my brand new logo and it is at the top of this blog! Isn't it awesome?? I love it!

And lastly, I have ordered my very own labels to be sew onto each HUG with the logo! Sooo cute!

Ok that is all for right now....I am posting pictures of the HUGS on this blog for you to see if you've never seen one!

The medium HUGS (which are pictured) fit a dunkin donuts medium iced coffee and a venti starbucks iced. They are $12.00. I will also be making smalls and larges and as soon as I do, I will post pics and prices!

Success!

well I am very excited to post that our first weekend with the cozies went fantastic!! The response was more than I could have imagined and I am so proud! I am now in the process of updating the Etsy shop for your shopping pleasure, as well as reseraching some local craft fairs to sell cozies and other fun handmade things at! I will keep everyone posted! Thank you for your support! *Fingers crossed*

Almost there!

Well after staying up until 3:30 am this morning working on the finishing touches to the cozies, they are just about ready to be shipped off to the first ever show! This is the test to see how people like them, get a buzz going and hopefully sell some! So far, the response has been good! I'm really excited about it! I have a few more to finish on my lunch break, finalize the "packaging and presentation" of them and they are off! After this weekend is when I'll determine what the next step is ...hopefully some craft fairs and then my big goal....having a booth at the Big E!!! I think then I'd feel like I made it! haha

well here it is! blog is up and running!

so i created this blog to kind of have a chronical of the everyday operations of trying to make my sewing my career! the first project i have going is to make iced coffee cozies for a friend of mine to bring to her scrapbooking event. it is the test to see how well they sell! if all goes goes, i'm thinking of signing up for some craft fairs! so far the status of the 40 cozies i intend to make in the next week and 1/2 is there was 12 done....then i decided i didn't like them anymore, and decided to start over...not because there was anything wrong with them but i felt like the different color cozies werent matching each other and it is all about "branding" so i started over. haha, anyways...wroking on cutting all of them out right now and then onto the sewing, at least the sewing part is quick...its the leading up to that that takes a while! once all the sewing is done i have to get a set-up display for her to take with her, business cards (shit i gotta order today!) and mailing list stuff. ok, i gotta get to work! oh yeah, and in the meantime...i have to buy a car and find a new apartment. jeeeezzz....
